In collaboration with our partner, OctoPerf, we’re excited to announce a new 5-day workshop designed to help companies efficiently load test their applications with up to 10,000 concurrent users. This workshop is perfect for teams who are looking for support in scaling performance testing - without navigating the complexities and limitations of frameworks like JMeter.
Who is This Workshop For?
This workshop is perfect for teams that:
Are looking to scale their performance testing but face challenges: If you're struggling with resource limitations, complex configurations, or insufficient real-time analysis, this workshop will showcase more straightforward methods
Are unsure of where to start with performance testing: If you’re new to performance engineering and are overwhelmed by where to start, you’ll learn best practices for defining a strategy
Are limited by current tools: If you’re currently using tools like JMeter but finding them cumbersome and difficult to scale, you’ll catch a glimpse into how easy it can be to increase load testing capacity
We also designed this workshop with OctoPerf with these types of companies in mind:
E-commerce Platforms: Businesses that experience high traffic during sales events and need to ensure their sites can handle the load without slowing down or crashing.
Financial Services: Banks, investment firms, and fintech companies that require high performance and reliability for their customer-facing applications.
SaaS Providers: Companies offering software as a service who need to ensure their applications can scale seamlessly with increasing user numbers.
Healthcare Applications: Medical and health-related apps that must perform reliably under high user demand, especially during critical times.
Media and Entertainment: Streaming services, online games, casino apps, and other media platforms that need to manage large volumes of concurrent users without degrading the user experience.
How Does it Work?
Here's a breakdown of what you can expect over the 5 days:
Day 1: Setup and Configurationsome text
Initial setup of the load testing environment using OctoPerf.
Integration with your existing CI/CD pipelines.
Day 2: Test Design and Executionsome text
Design load tests that simulate real-world user behavior.
Execute tests to evaluate application performance.
Day 3: Detailed Analysissome text
Analyze test results with expert guidance.
Identify performance bottlenecks and their impact.
Day 4: Optimization Strategiessome text
Learn best practices for optimizing application performance.
Develop actionable strategies to address issues.
Day 5: Final Testing and Reviewsome text
Conduct final load tests to validate optimizations.
Prepare a comprehensive report with findings and recommendations.
Note: The workshop is not meant to facilitate a hands-on trial, replace instructor-led training, or for migrating test scripts. You can simply think of it as a ‘done for you’ one-time load test (which also includes a few extra bonuses!).
Workshop Deliverables
Once the workshop is complete, the following assets will be yours to keep:
Use Case Document: Our architects will provide a detailed document outlining the specific scenarios for performance testing based on your environment and requirements.
Workload Model: Our team will also build a model that outlines real-world user behavior and performance demands to ensure accurate testing in the future.
Comprehensive Test Analysis: We’ll present a detailed analysis of the test results, highlighting any limitations and providing recommendations for improvement.
FAQ’s
How much of a time commitment does this require from my team?
The workshop only requires a few hours of time from the client’s perspective. Your involvement will be needed primarily for providing initial environment access, participating in a 1-hr intake session, and attending the readback of findings and recommendations. Our experts will handle the heavy lifting of setup, execution, and analysis
What does the workshop cost?
The standard price for this workshop is a one-time flat fee of $2,500 - which covers all aspects of setup, execution, analysis, and reporting.
Can scope be adjusted?
Yes, we can also tailor the workshop based on various factors (# of tests, length of runtime, # of simulated users)
The initial call will be used to discuss your project and application to better understand your specific needs. If it makes sense to proceed, we’ll send over paperwork and make sure you have a spot reserved on the calendar.
