#TrendingSoftware is our new weekly blog post where we share trending software with you to keep you up to date on the latest software news. This week, we’re looking at NestJS, Kubernetes, and Bitwarden.

NestJS

NestJS is an open source platform that helps users in creating reliable web apps, providing the framework to do so using Node.js. According to their website, NestJS “takes advantage of latest JavaScript features, bringing design patterns and mature solutions to node.js world.”

According to Exploding Topics it has seen a growth of +9900% with an average of 6,600 searches on Google in the United States per month.

Their website calls it “The open source platform designed for the future. Build enterprise. A complete development kit for building scalable server-side apps.”

Kubernetes

Next up on the list is Kubernetes or K8s, another open source system. Kubernetes allows you to automate steps such as deployment, scaling and management of container apps. They focus on three main points, according to their website:

Planet Scale: Designed on the same principles that allows Google to run billions of containers a week, Kubernetes can scale without increasing your ops team.

Never Outgrow: Whether testing locally or running a global enterprise, Kubernetes flexibility grows with you to deliver your applications consistently and easily no matter how complex your need is.

Run Anywhere: Kubernetes is open source giving you the freedom to take advantage of on-premises, hybrid, or public cloud infrastructure, letting you effortlessly move workloads to where it matters to you.”

According to Exploding Topics, this software “helps to manage and deploy containerized applications.” It averages 110,000 searches per month on Google in the United States, and has recently seen a growth of +3166%.

Bitwarden

Last but not least on this week’s #TrendingSoftware is Bitwarden, another open source (free) software that aids in managing all your passwords and sensitive information like website log ins and keeping them safe and encrypted in one place.

According to Bitwarden, the “platform offers a variety of client applications including a web interface, desktop applications, browser extensions, mobile apps, and a CLI.”

According to Exploding Topics it is currently averaging 40,500 searches on Google a month in the US, and has seen a growth of +9900%.
